About Us

ZamAkoé is a collective of artisans in Central Africa making natural rattan furniture in a sustainable way. All the Rattan used are sourced from their immediate environment in the heart of the NorthWestern Congolian Lowland Rainforest.

Their weaving skills have been harnessed over the last 50 years and new methods are incorporated by various workshops from international based rattan operators.

Zamakoe uses conceptual visual designs and leverages industrial design assistance in the nearby cities to produce nice and useful furniture. 

Our future sees us engaging with foreign designers to produce a different variety of furniture products that we expect to be groundbreaking.

zamAkoé has a marketing arm in London, UK and all products marketed are ‘in stock’ in our UK warehouse, unless clearly stated otherwise.
